RESEARCH OF THE STATE OF GLACIERS IN THE DARAY-DARSHAI RIVER BASIN
The purpose of research is to determine the nature and rate of change of the area of glaciers in the upper reaches of the Darai-Darshay river. Determine the boundary of glaciers for 1977-2020 through satellite imagery from the USGS (Geological Survey of the United States) with Landsat-1-7 and Sentinel 2A, Google Earth Pro and ArcMap 10.5. During these years, the glaciers of the basin continued to decline, covering an area of 9,133 km2 (19.92%) and the average rate of decline of glacier area varies.
Key words: upper Daray-Darshay river basin, glacier shrinkage, glacier lakes, distance photography, glacier language, glacier monitoring, satellite imagery, degradation.
