DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE IN GLACIER AREA IN THE PISODA RIVER BASIN

The goal is to study the area of glaciers in the Pisoda river basin for the period 1977 to 2018. Satellite images from Landsat1-7 and Sentinel 2A were used. The loss of the area of glaciers in the Pisoda river basin for the analyzed period is 2.2 km2, this figure is 27.1%. The average rate of loss of glacier areas is different depending on the position and height above sea level. The rate of decrease in the area of glaciers from 1977 to 1994 slower than between 1994 and 2018.
